Just in case you need some immediate information, here is some info in case someone is currently having a seizure

What do I do if someone is having a seizure?

  • only move them if they're in danger, such as near a busy road or hot cooker

  • cushion their head if they're on the ground

  • loosen any tight clothing around their neck, such as a collar or tie, to aid breathing

  • stay with them and talk to them calmly until they recover

  • note the time the seizure starts and finishes

  • DO NOT TOUCH THEIR MOUTH

Who do I call if someone is having a seizure?

  • Call 911 if the person has never had a seizure before

  • If they're prone to seizures call their emergency contact (spouse, parent, sibling, etc.) and explain before calling 911

  • If you don't know if they have a history of seizures, call 911 to be safe!
